Long Story Short: Short Stories of a Traveling Store is an exhibition that tells a brief story about a brand and pop-up store that operated in Brooklyn, New York, from 2007 to 2011. It finds value in objects left behind or overshadowed by new cultures, eras, and technologies. In a time when information and products are overflowing and easily consumed and discarded, the focus is on how a person’s ownership and use of an object over time leaves traces and stories that add depth.
This show is a continuation of a solo exhibition held in Seoul last May. It features a playful mix of comic characters, text, and Street Art-inspired styles, drawing on the aesthetic of 1940s and 50s grocery store advertisements. The work explores everyday and realistic themes with humor, parody, and sometimes a cheeky perspective, delving into human nature, social norms, and the contradictions of modern society.

Past
